Who We Are

The Sage Nest began as a way to heal.

When I lost my mom suddenly in late 2020, I wanted to find a way to still feel connected to her. My love for the outdoors began through her and our adventures growing up so it felt easy to stay connected to her through the natural world.

As a Montessori teacher and administrator for the past 15 years, I have worked with children between the ages of 3-6 on a daily basis. My primary background is in Toddler and I have been certified through the American Montessori Society in Infant/Toddler since 2016.

During the 2020-2021 school year through the height of the pandemic, I taught a class of 10 amazing 3 year olds. What I noticed was how their demeanor quickly changed when I brought a lesson outside or brought lessons of the outdoors, indoors. This is how The Sage Nest began.

I now work in Montessori Administration but have the absolute joy of being the Outdoor Educator to our school. The moments I am able to be outdoors with the children are the best parts of my week. They are engaged, curious, and calm.
